About Us

Alouette means “lark” in French and is the title of a beloved 19th-century French-Canadian folk song. The lark is a songbird known for its joyful melody, and French Bulldogs have a charming “song” all their own. It is from this sweet connection that our kennel name was inspired.

We came by our first Frenchie, a brindle and white dog named Goblin, as a show prospect for the kids. We absolutely adore Goblin, and fell completely in love with the breed. From there we added Olivia, our pied brindle girl to the pack. The rest is history.

We are a small, preservation-focused hobby breeder and strong advocates for ethical, responsible breeding. We thoughtfully breed only standard-color French Bulldogs that have undergone comprehensive health testing, with all results publicly available through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Our litters are carefully planned and infrequent, and each puppy is lovingly raised in our home alongside other animals and children.

Our vision in breeding French Bulldogs is to produce well-rounded, temperamentally sound dogs that excel as companions. We strive for healthy, happy puppies and that grow to be your best friend. We value dogs that shine in and out of the show ring, and we aim to put titles on both ends of any puppies that we keep in our program.

We also enjoy participating in sports with our Frenchies, and have found success in scent work, FastCAT, CABT, conformation, and are training for dock diving and agility.
